Look at them shine!!

Last week James and I went to Glasgow City Antiques which is this big warehouse filled with all the most perfect junk you could imagine. Fortunately things were expensive cos otherwise we would have been in trouble carrying stuff home!! It was cool! Trinkets-wise, stashes were low, but there was enough weird and crap stuff to satisfy my love for junk. There was some really gorgeous furniture which I took NO PHOTOS OF.

I'm just hoping nothing that I took a picture of decides to haunt me. Especially that antelope man with the half a banana in his mouth.

Just a Nincompoop...

My Uncle Paul was at the exhibition. He owns a gallery called Gallery X in Edinburgh and has made loads of stunning prints and photographs as well as a few of the baubles on our christmas tree! He put his talents to good use to take a few photos of me being a fanny next to my boards...!!

Happy Nincompoop Day :D

I completed my HND in Illustration last week. It's a good feeling to finally get a few letters for all my hard work over the past few years. AND I GET TO GO TO A GRADUATION CEREMONY! The last time I went to something like that I had Ebby Ebsworth smirking at me from across the room. That woman doesn't smile, she grimaces.

My Illustration class hosted an end of year show in the college. It was the first time Illustration got their own room to display work in and our tutor Martin crammed it as full as he could with all our stuff and if something was put up squint, boy did we know about it!

On the Friday after we'd cleared up all our stuff, we did one final friday quiz then we popped to the pub with John and Martin (after the obligatory photo of them as superheroes!!) A select few of us managed to last the night talking nonsense in the pub.

Welcome to the show...

Thankyou.

MEATY

As my final project of this college course were were assigned a client and given an example of a brief from the real world and asked to meet and correspond with the client as if it were a real job. My group were asked to work with a company called Jamhot, a design company based in Glasgow. The project we were given was to produce illustrations for a new burger joint called Burger Meats Bun opening up in the city centre. Each illustration was to be fun and quirky and would be used to promote the different  food available.

The project was super fun and Jamhot were a rad company to work for, giving us really helpful feedback.

These are my final illustrations from the project...
